St. Sebastian Elementary School receives AMA award for school zone safety

St. Sebastian Elementary School was honoured with the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) School Zone Safety Award at a special ceremony held at the school on May 11th.The school received $1,000 as a result of their efforts in working with the parent council to change the safety culture of their school zone.

DanceWorks at Calgary Catholic

DanceWorks is sponsored by the Calgary Catholic Junior High School Athletic Association. As part of the event, school supplies are collected along with cash donations for less privileged immigrant students. This year dancers and parents collected 14 boxes of school supplies and $324.14.

Fees can now be paid online

Starting May 1st 2012, parents will have the option to pay selected school fees online. The new Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) fee management and online payment system is an easy and secure way to pay school fees. This pilot project will allow parents to pay transportation fees for the 2012-2013 school year.
