We are committed to providing a safe, efficient and economical method of transporting eligible students to and from school.
More than 20,000 students access transportation in the Calgary Catholic School District. Approximately 48 per cent of the district’s students travel on urban and rural routes to schools in Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane and Chestermere. The first time riding a school bus can be both exciting and
nerve-racking for parents and children. So to help make the first bus ride less
scary, the Calgary Catholic School District, Calgary Board of Education
Southland Transportation and First Student offer the My First Ride program. The
program provides bus safety tips and tricks for parents, kindergarten students
and all other first time bus riders.

Park Safe - School zone safety brochure
This brochure, developed by the Calgary Parking Authority, aims to educate parents and staff about the rules and regulations when parking in the community, including clear guidelines for school zones. It may provide information which could be helpful in resolving some of the congestion and safety issues experienced at schools. Education often makes the difference.
