Recorders!

Grade 4, 5, and 6 students have started on our recorder unit.  At home practice is necessary.  Please encourage your child to practice their recorder and to fill out their practice sheet.  It is a challenge to learn to play the recorder, but also very rewarding when children are successful!  We will also be having a draw at the end of the school year from the practice sheets that are handed in as an incentive.

 

 

Elementary Choir

As an extension of the music curriculum, we are offering an extra-curricular Elementary Choir for students in Grades 3-6.  The Elementary Choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 3:25-4:15.  This year, Elementary Choir will run from October 6 until Christmas, and then will possibly resume later in the spring.  Students who are absent for a rehearsal, need to provide a note from a parent either before or after the absence.  We have over 60 members this year!
