Choir Tour Victoria April 2012This year, The Bishop Grandin Choir embarked on a performance tour to Victoria from Wednesday, April 18, to Sunday,  April 22. With the generous help from 9 other chaperones, Ms. Brochu & Ms. White Baillie took 88 students to sing and dance throughout Victoria.  The highlights of the trip were choral performances for students at St. Andrew’s HS, Queen of Angels elementary & JH,  Claremont Secondary, and Stelly’s HS, as well as a  performance at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. In addition to touring the beautiful city of Victoria, the students took in a stunning performance of Maria Stuarda put on by the Pacific Opera Company. We are so proud of our students , as they performed exceptionally well and were wonderful ambassador’s of BGHS.

On March 14, 2012, the Bishop Grandin High School Robotics team was honoured with a visit from Ward 11’s City Councillor, Brian Pincott. Councillor Pincott graciously gave the team a gift of cowboy hats. The team is widely recognized by the wearing of cowboy hats at competitions, so the new hats are extremely welcomed. Other sponsors of the Robotics team include: Tenaris, General Motors Canada, Worley Parsons, and Alberta Innovates.  The robotics team is competing in a Toronto regional competition March 28-April 1.
