First Nations Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Education

By , February 10, 2012

Aboriginal Education programs have been in effect at Calgary Catholic High Schools since 1983. Bishop Grandin has a part time teacher provided to offer academic and cultural support to FNMI students, both in small groups and on an individual basis. Our teacher is part of the larger FNMI Education Team with the district. Our FNMI education teacher works in conjunction with classroom teachers and guidance counselors to support our FNMI students and also assists students with course selection, information about scholarships, post secondary programs and community events.

Our support teacher is Norma Denney.  She can be reached at 403-500-2047 ext. 312 and her e-mail is: Norma.Denney@cssd.ab.ca
