Our Drama teacher, Ms. Cynthia Stratulat is a talented playwright and director who works diligently throughout the year with students committed to the theater arts. Ms. Stratulat mounts two major performances during the school year that span the range of classical to modern drama. The end result is a high quality experience for the audience and unparalleled opportunities for students to develop performance, leadership and teamwork skills.

 The drama program at  Bishop Grandin High School is vibrant and challenging. The program is designed to progress students from basic skills  to acting in student-written collectives to directing and designing their own one-act plays.

Drama 10
Drama 10,  is an introduction to theatre. The course is divided into skill units to reconcile the various stages of development of the students enrolled in the course. Assignments include :stage fighting, voice work, character development and monologues.

Drama 20
 Drama 20 is an intermediate course in theatre. The course is focused on acting scene work with a polished performance as the goal. This course requires memorization work. Assignments include: playwriting and performing in collectives, monologues and mask work.

Drama 30
 Drama 30 is a senior level course in theatre, designed to prepare the high school student for post secondary work in the art form. The course is focused on acting and directing. This course requires memorization work and research. Assignments include: directing plays, acting and sonnet work.
