Alumni and Former Staff
The district appreciates the valuable contributions made by all of its employees, both past and present. In an effort to help keep alumni and former staff part of the district family, this section is provided for all past employees to help them stay informed about upcoming district events and other news.
In addition, a special email list has been set up that will allow past employees to receive communications and updates to a personal email address. If you would like to be added to this list, please send an email to employeealumni+subscribe@learn.cssd.ab.ca. You do not need to include a subject or message. Once you've sent the email, you will receive an email confirmation.
Chief Superintendent's Easter Message
As we invite God into our lives during Lent, we can experience a transformation in our thinking and in our action. Our growing understanding of the power of grace in our lives should call us to be faithful disciples who strive to be more like Jesus in our interactions with others.
The Easter miracle unites people in heart and mind; it reflects what love looks like in action. Whenever we engage in mutual love through acts of service, we allow ourselves to be instruments of God’s grace. We allow God’s love to work through us and to touch the lives of others. We are blessed to have many opportunities in our schools to exhibit these actions for each other. Each time we act in this way, we make of ourselves a gift to God and we live out the commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.”
Throughout the Lenten season our staff has shared personal reflections that have spoken to the experiences and thoughts that have shaped their lives and their faith. These brief, personal messages have been a testament to the type of people that are sharing their expertise with the children that we serve. This is the beauty of Catholic education. We are able to bring our faith into our children’s educational experience creating a rich and fulfilling experience.
On an ongoing basis, we are tasked with spreading the Gospel to those in our lives. In your schools and community you all do this by your actions on a daily basis. As we celebrate the miracle of Christ’s passion, death and resurrection this Easter season, may we take the time to reflect on how we can spread the good news and live the types of lives we are meant to.
Enjoy this special time with your family and friends.
Gary Strother
Chief Superintendent
