Occupational Health and Safety

In September 2012, the Calgary Catholic School District received the distinction of being named as one of Canada's Safest Employers for 2012. The awards, sponsored by Canadian Occupational Safety magazine, were handed out to a total of 13 Canadian organizations who were recognized for their outstanding achievements in promoting workplace health and safety.

Winners were chosen from five categories: building and construction; manufacturing; mining and natural resources; services; and, transportation and utilities. The Calgary Catholic School District believes that all individuals are entitled to a safe and healthy work/learning environment. The safety of students, employees and visitors is the responsibility of all district employees.
