Since January 2013, division 2 students at Holy Name School have been knitting scarves for the homeless in Calgary.
Grade 4 teacher Mme Claire and four regular volunteers (two grandmas and two moms) come into the school every Day 1 and Day 3 to knit during the lunch hour to provide warm scarves for the homeless.
The students will complete their scarves in May and they will be donated to the Mustard Seed and Inn from the Cold.
What a wonderful opportunity for children to come together and show that they care for their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Way to go parents, grandparents and children at Holy Name School!
