Summer Camp

The Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) International Student Summer Camp program provides international students with an excellent opportunity to improve English language abilities while experiencing Canadian culture. This program is for junior high and senior high students in grades 7-12.

Program Highlights:

  • English language instruction focused on improving students’ speaking, comprehension and writing skills.
  • Highly qualified English Language Learning (ELL) teachers.
  • For every 15 students, one supervisor is required to accompany the group.
  • Opportunity for international students to make friends with and learn from their Canadian peers (known as “cultural assistants”).
  • Outdoor activity experiences in Calgary and surrounding areas including the beautiful Rocky Mountains, Banff and Drumheller.
  • Homestays are provided and offer a unique opportunity for students to live in the homes of Canadian families.


The cost of the three week camp per student is $2400. Please note that all fees are to be paid in Canadian dollars only. This fee includes the following:
  - Tuition
  - Homestay / meals
  - Custodianship
  - Medical Insurance
  - Local Transportation (if residing out of the school catchment area)
  - Excursions / activities
  - Welcome and farewell parties
  - Airport pick-up and drop-off

Parental Consent Form
Homestay Application Form (if using the CCSD homestay) 
Custodian Declaration (CIC IMM 5646)

Submit the forms together with the following supporting documents:
• Student’s valid passport
• Valid visitor’s visa (if applicable)

Payment Method
Fees can be paid by MasterCard/Visa, wire transfer , bank draft, money order or certified cheque payable to the Calgary Catholic School District.

Processing Time
Please allow sufficient time for the processing of your application. CCSD processing time - two weeks minimum based on a complete application.
CIC processing time - please visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website at www.cic.gc.ca to find out the visa processing time in the student’s home country.

For summer 2013, the camp will take place from July 2-19, 2013. Deadline to register is by May 31, 2013.
