Core Curriculum

Alberta Education defines a basic education as one which provides students with a solid core program which includes Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. In our Catholic schools, Religious Education is also included in our core program.

Parents play an important role in shaping the way their children view learning. My Child's Learning: A Parent Resource is a tool offered by Alberta Education which provides parents with a better understanding of Alberta’s curriculum and how they can help their child. Through My Child's Learning, parents will discover what their child is learning, how they’re assessed and what resources are available to help them be successful from kindergarten to Grade 12.
