International Spanish Academy
The Calgary Catholic School District offers an International Spanish Academy program. Students enrolled in the program become functionally bilingual by Grade 12. The Alberta Education Program of Studies is taught in all courses. Students divide their time evenly, studying 50 per cent in Spanish and 50 per cent in English.
The Spanish program allows students to gain insight into the Spanish language and the culture of Spanish-speaking countries around the world.
Students receive recognition in Grades 6, 9 and 12 from the government of Spain.
