How to Apply

Teaching Opportunities
Calgary Catholic accepts applications for our teaching positions throughout the year. Applicants who submit all of the following documents, will be given preferred consideration for contracts and guest teacher (substitute) opportunities:

  • Cover Letter and Resume
  • Teacher Introduction and Faith Letter (Signed by Parish Priest)
  • A Declaration of Faith and the Practice of the Ministry of Teaching in a Catholic School (Signed by Parish Priest)
  • Baptismal Certificate (Copy)
  • Pre-Employment Medical Clearance (Signed by a Medical Doctor)
  • Police Security Clearance (Copy)
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate (Copy)
  • Birth Certificate (Copy)
  • New Teachers - Copies of Student Teaching Reports
  • Experienced Teachers - Copies of Teacher Evaluations
  • ATA Statement of Qualifications for Salary Purposes
  • Evidence of Previous Teaching Experience (If Applicable)
  • A Employee Acceptable Use of Policy for Internet Use

When we are unable to fill a vacancy with a qualified Catholic candidate, we interview our non-Catholic applicants, and select those individuals who exhibit the attitude, ethics and moral qualities that we are looking for in our Catholic candidates to fill the vacant position. Therefore, we encourage all applicants who aspire to work with the Calgary Catholic School District to submit an application with our District.
