St. Angela Elementary School was founded in 1913 and is located in the community of Bridgeland, only a three minute drive from downtown. We foster a nurturing family atmosphere and maintain a strong commitment to individual learning.
As of the 2010-2011 school year, St. Angela was transformed into a workplace school. CCSD has worked collaboratively with the community to create St. Angela Workplace School, taking advantage of the school’s unique downtown location to appeal to suburban parents who work in the city core. The school serves the Bridgeland and Crescent Heights communities, maintaining its community school spirit, but is also made available to families from across Calgary.
St. Angela Workplace School features before and after school care provided by Adventurers School Age Care Ltd, an independent local organization. For information on their before and after school care phone 403 984-9073. As well, St. Angela has limited options for parking available, to allow families to travel from communities across Calgary. In 2007, St. Angela became only the second Calgary Catholic elementary school to introduce school uniforms. The uniforms help to remove peer pressure and give students a sense of school community. St. Angela boasts a highly diverse student population, which enriches the school community and broadens the educational experience. We believe in daily physical activity, and an education that enriches children academically, socially and spiritually.
