Each School Council archive contains a complete list of School Council, District Advisory Council and Family of Schools' School Council related materials for that year, including past meeting agendas, discussion and feedback summaries and other relevant information.
The purpose of the District Advisory Council (DAC) was to enhance direct communication between parents, trustees and senior administration. The council consisted of 18 volunteer school council chairs. DAC met on two or three occasions each year. Members reported back to their own school council and also shared information with other School Councils in their family of schools.
The Family of Schools consisted of six families representing all school councils. The Family of Schools met two or three times a year and included the Board of Trustees, School Council Chairs and principals. The focus of Family of Schools' meetings was to provide a venue for communication and mutual influence with the Board of Trustees and School Council Chairs. Agendas were determined by the Board of Trustees, reflect feedback from School Council Chairs and included current topics of interest.
