Stomp Extravaganza at Holy Spirit School

May 16, 2013

On April 18th, the staff and students of Holy Spirit School showed their best Stomp dance moves with style!

Matt Ball, from Sound Kreations, ran a week long Artist in Residency Program, preparing each of our classes to do a Stomp Performance on stage for the Holy Spirit School community.

Over 700 people packed the Rock Pointe Church, as our students hip-hopped their way into our hearts, generating an energetic buzz in the auditorium. We also held a Silent Auction in conjunction with this dance night, which helped to raise funds for school programming.

Thanks to our School Council for organizing and supporting this part of the evening. The night ended with a performance by a special Dance Troupe, “Old Skool.” They came direct from their latest tour of the Staff Lounge. This group of energetic staff members may have been sponsored by A535 Deep heat rub, but they showed that they could still “bust a move”…or a hip in some cases.

In the end, the Stomp Extravaganza was a huge success, as it allowed us to support our school, while celebrating our students.
