Calgary, Alberta – Members of the media are invited to the ground blessing ceremony to be held in Saddle Ridge to bless the ground in preparation for the start of construction on the new elementary/junior high Catholic school.

Location: Corner of Saddlehorn Drive and Saddlemont Blvd. NE, Calgary
Calgary-McCall MLA Darshan Kang, Ward Trustee Linda Wellman and Chief Superintendent Lucy Miller will bring greetings, followed by a few songs from the Monsignor Hetherington Grade 4 Choir. Parents and future students, trustees and superintendents will be in attendance.
This new school will be constructed as part of the Government of Alberta's Public-Private Partnership (P3) school consolidation pilot project. A tentative completion date of September 2010 is estimated. A permanent core building with essential elements that comprise a school will be complemented by steel-framed modular classrooms that can be added to or removed as required.
