We are asking you to respond to another survey. This is part of our planning process and we value your input. Last year we used your input to: bring in a bullying program, ensure a close link with the church, create a community advent celebration and to look at better identification of students with special needs.

How well have we done in meeting these needs? We have implemented a Diverse Learning Teacher position in which we worked hard at trying to have earlier identification of students with learning needs and accessing services. We will continue to work with this project into next year but we feel we have made some great initial steps. Our Advent celebration was a huge success and the date is already booked with the church for next year. We have a great relationship with St. Michael’s parish and we will continue to work together on a number of activities this year. Next year we have already planned additional retreats for students in grades 2 and 4 to assist them receiving the Sacraments. Our Dare to Care program provided us with a common language and a goal for the way we treat others in the school. We will continue to work making every student feel valued and respected in the school. Additional presentations such as the NED Show and courses offered by Child Safe Canada will continue to be brought in and we are looking at other areas to assist students.

Each year, schools are asked to have their school community complete a satisfaction survey. In order to accommodate all families, schools have an online and a paper version of the parent satisfaction survey. It is very important to make sure the surveys are completed as this data is used in the Annual Education Results Report (AERR) from each school.

If you would like a paper copy of the survey, please contact our office and we will send one home with your child.

The link to the parent satisfaction survey is below. It is also posted on the district website. The PARENT survey will close on May 19th at 4:00 pm, so that results can be compiled for reporting before year end.

We will also look for parent input at our May Council meeting as we start planning for next year.
