Important Information for All Parents:
Light of Christ School enrolment indicates the need for a new designated junior high for Our Lady of Fatima students in order to ensure that future growth at Light of Christ does not exceed the school’s capacity. It is important to note that the designation of a new junior high for Our Lady of Fatima students will have no impact on students currently attending Light of Christ School. This change will only apply to future students.
In keeping with past practice, and in order to obtain the input of the communities served by Light of Christ and Our Lady of Fatima Schools, a meeting will be held on December 9, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Light of Christ School. Parents are invited to participate in this discussion as the district aims to address the need for a restricted enrolment process and to explore sustainable solutions that will accommodate future enrolment at Light of Christ School.
Welcome to Our Lady of Fatima
Where talents shine and students excel!
Our Lady of Fatima is a Catholic Elementary School in Calgary, Alberta. We serve students from Kindergarten (half day classes) to Grade 6 in the Taradale/Martindale area.
Our school has a Dual Track Program, meaning we have classrooms that follow the traditional school calendar and year round balanced school calendar. Year round education (YRE) is divided into four equal terms. Students have a shorter summer vacation, going back to school in August, but they have an extra two weeks of holidays in October and an extra week off during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Year Round Education is an optional program of choice that families living within our school boundary can select.

Our school’s vision statement is, Where talents shine and students excel. We are so proud of all our students and have a deep commitment to helping them achieve their potential: academically, socially, and spiritually. Through a strong partnership with our Parish St. Thomas More and our student’s parents, we demonstrate a continued dedication to creating lifelong learners who embody the Gospel teachings in their words, thoughts, and actions. We are so grateful for the continued support we receive from our wonderful parents through their participation in Parent Council, classroom volunteering, and contributions to our Community of Caring projects.
