The high school registration forms for both Bishop Grandin and Bishop O’Byrne have now gone home for your signatures. Please sign and return these forms AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The forms have to be delivered to the high schools next week. Students who submit late registration forms may not get their choice of option courses.

The CTS Department needs your support. We are kicking off our first fundraiser on March 1st and we would like to raise funds to purchase new equipment and update technology for our programs.  This year we are selling the finest of Belgian Chocolates from Lamontagne Fund-raising at very high profits. Each Easter themed kit consists of 25 items to be sold at $3.00 each.

St. Bonaventure students will be participating in a Student Conference on Monday, March 8. Students will get the opportunity to listen to presenters who will deliver strong messages about making good decisions, self-esteem, and empowerment. The students will also get the opportunity to participate in fitness or wellness activities during the day. Thanks to the parents who have volunteered to bake cookies for the morning nutrition break.

Starting this Thursday, February 18th, St. Bonaventure will be hosting its annual Falcons Invitational Tournament. Students and parents are invited to cheer on their Senior boys and girls as they play some of the top teams in the city. Games are being held after school Thursday, Friday and finals will be on Saturday.

The draw for the meat raffle will be held on Saturday before the tournament finals.

Students have a few extra days off coming up this weekend but don’t forget that Tuesday, February 16th is Shrove Tuesday and St. Bonaventure will have its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am to 8:45 am.  All students will be invited to the school gym for a pancake breakfast that will be sponsored by School Council.

At this time, School Council is looking for volunteers to assist with the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast. If you are able to volunteer, please call Kathleen Fulmek (coordinator) see February newsletter for contact details. The Shrove Tuesday committee is also seeking the help of 6 to 8 volunteers to assist with the set-up of the gym, cooking and serving.
