What’s New? | Message from Administration for March
February was a very busy “short” month for both students and staff. Student activities included JH Band Camp, Valentine’s Dance and Bake Sale, Edo Hot lunch, Nakiska Ski Trip, Mini WE Day and SAIT tours. Alberta Education’s document, Inspiring Education, believes that engaged, ethical and entrepreneurial students should be our vision and St. Gabriel will be focusing on continuing to give our students varied opportunities to achieve these goals. Grade 6-9 Progress Reports will be distributed on Friday, March 7 and interviews will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 14 from 9:00-2:00 p.m. Since many JH teachers also teach HS and it is their PD Day, they may not be available for all time blocks. Be sure to book your appointments using the On Line Registration system.
Our Lenten season begins with our Ash Wednesday Liturgy, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. and all parents are invited to attend. Spring break this year is scheduled before Easter since Easter falls so late in April. Hopefully we will have spring weather by then since it has been such a long cold winter.
