PARENT SATISFACTION SURVEY 2013

We invite all our parents to participate in our annual survey regarding the quality of education your child is receiving at St. Margaret School!

To ensure our education system focuses on key improvements and the educational needs of students, Alberta Education requires each school to plan and report annually on provincial and local goals and strategies. School planning and reporting are integral components of school-based decision making.

Responses and feedback received will assist the district in meeting its commitment to quality education for all students.

All parents will be receiving a hard copy of the survey. Please take a few moments to share your thoughts through this survey which we request you send back to the school. It is also available online: http://bit.ly/11QfRyS

Please remember that this Thursday, our elementary students will be putting on their dancing shoes for a display of spins, turns, and pirouettes!

The event will take place at St. Francis School at 7 pm, on Thursday, May 9th.

Finally, the weather looks like it is turning and spring can’t be far behind. Jace paid a visit to the principal’s office on Friday to draw a picture of his family’s new car. It is a Honda and has “H” on the wheels!
It is always nice to have visitors to the office! Here is a picture of Jace and his lovely new car!

It is that time of year to once again begin preparing our students in grade 3, 6, and  9 for their Provincial Testing.

If you have a child in these grades, I would like to suggest you download the attachment and save it for your records.

We are pleased to inform you that the first ever Spanish Festival in Calgary will take place from April 24-28.

Good day to our families,

A few reminders for you in regards to our Easter Celebration and the upcoming Easter Holidays.

Our Easter Celebration with Father Wayne will be held on Thursday, March 28th, at 10:30 am in the school gymnasium. We warmly welcome all families to join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.

Our Easter holidays will begin at 12:00 pm (noon) on Thursday, March 28th. Classes resume on April 8th, at 8:30 am.

On behalf of all of us here at Escuela St. Margaret School, we would like to wish our families a very blessed and peaceful Easter Holiday!

It was a great night of dancing by our Danceworks Team! Led  by Señora Reigner, Señora Reynolds and Ms. Berstch, our Grades 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 students did a super job  at Father Lacombe. What a great show, Tigers!!

Great news!   The Spring Book Fair is now open!

It will be open for our students all week.  Teachers will be bringing our students down to visit the fair throughout the week.  On Thursday, March 14th, it will be open for parents and students from 4.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m.   The Book Fair will also be open during the day on Friday March 15,  from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Please take the opportunity to visit our library and support our literacy efforts.   Cash or cheques only please!  We look forward to seeing as many parents and students as possible.
