The Board of Trustees has a responsibility to ensure the vision and the goals of the district are achieved. In order to help them do so, it has the option of monitoring any policy, at any time.
One of the methods it can use is through accountability reports. This is the disclosure of compliance by the Chief Superintendent using data that is sufficiently clear, unbiased, and representative to cause the Board to be confident that a reasonable interpretation of Board policy has been achieved.
Each fall, the Chief Superintendent provides the Board of Trustees with a schedule for the presentation of accountability reports at public Board meetings throughout the school year.
