Peter Teppler

Peter Teppler represents wards 6 and 8. Prior to his retirement, Trustee Teppler worked in the Calgary Catholic School District as a teacher and principal, at all grade levels, for 40 years. He served as vice-chair for the 2014-2015 term.

avatarTrustee Teppler is involved in various ministries at St. Mary's Cathedral and was a parishioner of St. Gerard Church for more than a decade. Through the church community, he works on many social justice activities such as Inn-from-the-Cold, Christmas hamper initiatives and other important causes. Trustee Teppler continues to volunteer on the board of the North Glenmore Park Community Association and is a long-time volunteer at Spruce Meadows. He has served as retreat captain for teacher retreats at Mt. St. Francis Retreat Centre, as well as on the Community Advisory Council at St. Mary's University College. As a graduate of Bishop Grandin High School, Trustee Teppler holds two undergraduate degrees in Education and a Master's Degree in Teacher Education and Supervision. He believes passionately about the Catholicity and academic excellence of our schools as well as cultivating safe and caring school communities.
