The Calgary Catholic School District consults with Catholic parents in new school communities to consider and articulate the boundaries for the new school. For the Silverado school, this consultation is scheduled for April 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Father Whelihan School.

Final Decision Letter
The Calgary Catholic School District Board of Trustees passed a motion at the September 23, 2015 regular board meeting to consider the closure of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme at St. Michael School. It is important to note that should the IB Programme close, St. Michael School will continue to operate as a K-9 Catholic school. The French Immersion Program at St. Michael School is not being considered for closure.

Prior to the selection of a principal for a new school, the Calgary Catholic School District consults with Catholic parents in the new school community to consider and articulate the competencies and attributes that the community would require of the school administrative team. Calgary Catholic School District then utilizes these competencies and attributes in the selection of the school-based administrators for the new school.
