Auburn Bay/Prince of Peace Attendance Area Articulation

The district has begun the construction of a new Catholic K – 6 School in the community of Auburn Bay, and a large part of the Calgary Catholic School District school opening process includes public participation and consultation at Help Plan Our Future sessions. In keeping with this practice, and in order to obtain the input from the community, a Help Plan Our Future meeting will be held on May 22 at 6:30 PM at Prince of Peace School. Parents are invited to participate in this public participation session as we explore attendance area scenarios and work towards the development of sustainable solutions that will accommodate future enrolment at both the new Catholic school under construction and Prince of Peace School.

Divine Mercy Restricted Enrolment Consideration

Divine Mercy School enrolment trends indicate the need for implementation of a restricted enrolment process to ensure that future growth does not exceed the school’s capacity. The implementation of this restricted enrolment process will have no impact on students currently attending Divine Mercy School. New restrictions will only apply to future students seeking to register at the school in the next few years. In keeping with past practice, and in order to obtain the input of the community served by the school, a Help Plan Our Future (HPOF) meeting will be held on May 13 at 7 PM at Divine Mercy School. Parents are invited to participate as the district explores sustainable solutions that will accommodate future enrolment at Divine Mercy School. Click here to register.

St. Thomas Aquinas &
St. Gregory Grade Reconfiguration Consideration

As part of Calgary Catholic School District’s annual planning process, we revisit programs, their locations, school enrolment numbers and boundaries. Based upon this review, an opportunity has arisen that would allow for a revision of the St. Thomas Aquinas School grade configuration to K-6, and St. Gregory School grade configuration to 7-9. Interested parents and stakeholders are invited to join us at the public engagement meeting scheduled for Nov. 8, 2018 at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas School.

Our Lady of Peace &
St. Stephen Attendance Area Reconsideration

As part of its annual planning process Calgary Catholic reviews school enrolment numbers and attendance areas throughout the district. Based upon this review, an opportunity has arisen that would allow for a revision of the Our Lady of Peace and St. Stephen attendance areas, affording an opportunity for resident junior high students in Evergreen to attend Our Lady of Peace School. Parents and interested stakeholders are invited to join us at the public engagement meeting scheduled for Nov. 6, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Peace School.
