It is important to our families that we provide schools where they’re most needed. Extensive planning and public consultation goes into the decision making process of every new school we open.
Not only will our new schools help relieve overcrowding pressures at current receiver schools, but they will also provide room for growth. A large part of the Calgary Catholic School District school opening process is through public participation and consultation at our Help Plan Our Future sessions. These sessions involve public meetings and opportunities to receive input on:
- boundary articulation
- school administrative qualities
- attributes and characteristics
- school naming.
Your involvement throughout the entire building process is important to us and we will continue to post information regarding our new schools as it becomes available. Updates will continue to be posted on this page as well as the Help Plan Our Future page.
We currently have two new schools in various stages of development.
Click on the neighbourhood name below for more information about each particular school:
- Students who are eligible to attend the new school based upon the boundary decision and who are currently registered at and/or attending the designated Catholic school for their community are automatically registered for the new school.
- Catholic parents/legal guardians whose children are not currently registered in a Calgary Catholic school are welcome to visit the website for each new school listed above for specific registration procedures.
