Registration Requirements
  • A student must be at least 6 years old as of December 31 to start Grade 1 in the fall of that Grade 1 year. This means that a 5-year-old student may start Grade 1 if the student will turn 6 years old on or before December 31 of that Grade 1 year.
  • Please contact the school in your attendance area to register your student in Grade 1. The school will require you to provide a copy of your student’s birth certificate and proof of your address. The school will also request you to provide a copy of your student’s or your Catholic baptismal certificate if applicable.

Parents of Catholic students who live inside a school’s attendance area and are already enrolled in kindergarten do not need to re-register their students for Grade 1 in the same school. Parents of all other students may be required to re-register their students for Grade 1. Advancement from kindergarten to Grade 1 in the same school is not guaranteed for these students.

Registration for Non-Catholic Students
We are pleased to enroll non-Catholic students in our schools when we have sufficient resources and facilities to do so, but parents of non-Catholic students should understand that we are required to prioritize the enrollment of Catholic students each school year. This means that we cannot guarantee the advancement of non-Catholic students from one grade to the next in the same school or from elementary to junior high and high school.
