Calgary Catholic offers a Spanish Bilingual program. The Spanish Bilingual program allows students to improve their level of academic Spanish reading, writing, listening, speaking and critical thinking, and compare their experiences with cultures and societies from around the world. Students receive recognition in grades 6, 9 and 12 from the Government of Spain, opportunities to present international levelling exams for entry into post-secondary studies and other professional opportunities in Spanish. Students graduate from the program with a bilingual diploma from the district.

Students may enter the program in kindergarten or Grade 1, or upon completion of a levelling assessment at their designated bilingual school.

Elementary
Students in K–6 divide their time evenly, studying 50 per cent in Spanish and 50 per cent in English. Subjects taught in Spanish are Spanish Language Arts, Mathematics, Physical Education, Music and Art.

Junior High
Students in grades 7–9 receive 35 per cent of instruction in Spanish and 65 per cent in English. Subjects taught in Spanish are Spanish Language Arts, Mathematics and additional courses as determined by the school.

High School
Students in grades 10–12 earn a total of 25 credits in Spanish. Subjects taught in Spanish are Spanish Language Arts 10, 20 and 30, and Film and Media Arts (SP) 15 and 25.
