  • The designated school for Silverado is Father James Whelihan (K-9). Please contact the school for additional information.
  • Students who are eligible to attend the new school based upon the boundary decision and who are currently registered at and/or attending the designated Catholic school for their community are automatically registered for the new school.
  • Catholic parents of students who are eligible to attend the new school based upon the boundary decision and who are not currently registered at and/or attending the designated Catholic school for their community are invited to contact Holy Child School office for more information.

Prior to the selection of a principal for a new school, the Calgary Catholic School District consults with Catholic parents in the new school community to consider and articulate the competencies and attributes that the community would require of the school administrative team. Calgary Catholic School District then utilizes these competencies and attributes in the selection of the school-based administrators for the new school. Boundary Consideration
In June of 2016, the district consulted with parents residing in Silverado with respect to the possible location of boundaries for the new Catholic school currently under construction in Silverado. At the time of the decision, the district committed to further consultation with the communities of Legacy and Bridlewood. This consultation took place on October 26 at Father Doucet School.
