It is important that we provide schools where they’re most needed. Extensive planning and public consultation goes into the decision making process of every new school we open. Not only will our new schools help relieve overcrowding pressures at current receiver schools, but they will also provide room for growth. A large part of our school opening process is through public participation and consultation at our Help Plan Our Future sessions. These sessions involve public meetings and opportunities to receive input on school attendance areas, school administrative qualities, attributes and characteristics and school naming.
Your involvement throughout the entire building process is important to us and we will continue to post information regarding our new schools as it becomes available.
