Lory Iovinelli

I am a former CCSD teacher who is tremendously passionate about Catholic education and students’ well-being. This passion and wellness commitment are reflected in the many local and provincial roles I have held during my first term of trusteeship, including: director, Alberta Catholic School Trustees’ Association; representative, St. Mary’s University; representative, Provincial GrACE Board; and member, CCSD GrACE Grass Roots Organization. I understand the importance of building strong relationships with my constituents and work very hard to foster connections with my wards’ parishes, school council chairs, parents, city councillors and MLAs. We serve others through our connections and I strongly believe in serving your community. I have filled numerous district volunteer roles since 2003, including serving as school council vice-chair and chair. My volunteerism also extends to St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary’s Diabetes Association and The Alex. I am a native Calgarian and proud wife and mother. I have four CCSD-educated children with my husband of 25 years. “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” –St. Catherine of Sienna
