Pamela Rath

I am a lifelong Calgarian who is passionate about Catholic education. I have a firm belief in our youth and a tenacity to fight for the underdog. Family is very important to me; my faith and everything I have learned as a mother guides my why. I have been married for 29 years and have two grown sons who are proud CCSD graduates. Whenever possible, I am at our family farm in the Bergen area. I hold a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming and began my trusteeship in 2017. Knowing the importance of collaboration and relationship building, especially as a trustee, I have served our district in several ways during my first term, including: Zone 5 representative, Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA); director, ASBA; Zone 5 Edwin Parr selection committee member, ASBA; steering committee member, Provincial GrACE Board; trustee professional development committee member, CCSD; and vice-chair, CCSD (2017–2018). As a 20-year volunteer of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) Calgary, I truly appreciate the power of serving your community and sharing your gifts with others. During my time with SSVP, I have served as the north particular council president and Corpus Christi conference president. “You lose your way when you lose your why.” –Michael Hyatt
