FLIPGIVE SCHOOL COUNCIL FUNDRAISER: Information is going home today about this exciting new fundraiser. Please support our School Council as we raise funds for new technology! All you have to do is shop online.
JUNIOR HIGH INTRAMURALS: On Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch, our Junior High students now have the opportunity to take part in intramurals. Our hope is to keep them active during the winter months and build school spirit. Thanks to Mr. Mattern and Mr. Schreiner for getting this off the ground!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR DECEMBER 2 to DECEMBER 6, 2019:
There will be parent/teacher conferences during the week that we are having the fair, so we will need volunteers for the evening on Thursday, December 5th in addition to daytime volunteers. The volunteer shifts will be 2 or 3 hours each.
Please sign up ASAP. Corinna Brown is our Book Fair volunteer co-ordinator, and she can be contacted through email: firstname.lastname@example.org . Please make sure that you have completed the volunteer orientation prior to helping. Also, please do not bring children with you when you volunteer – you will be busy!
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT: Our Junior High Students took part in the Junior Achievement program on November 15th. This volunteer-run program pairs youth with mentors in the business world who help our students develop financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship. Thanks to Junior Achievement!
JACKET RACKET: Our campaign for Jacket Racket is done for the year. Thank you so much for everyone who helped with this endeavor. As we all know, Calgary is very uncertain as to the weather patterns so the more warmth we can help out with, the better! Over 10 garbage bags of winter wear was collected this year!
CHRISTMAS HAMPERS: Watch for information about our Christmas Hamper and Angel Tree program coming soon. Thanks for your support. This program means a great deal to our families and community.
CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY: On Wednesday, November 27th, Ascension will host a Canadian Citizenship ceremony where 20 new Canadians will become citizens of our great nation. We are humbled to host this important event and look forward to the many contributions our students and community will make!
