Registration is ongoing throughout the school year. All families are encouraged to inquire.
- A child must be at least 5 years old as of December 31 to start kindergarten in the fall of that kindergarten year. This means that a 4-year-old child may start kindergarten if the child will turn 5 years old on or before December 31 of that kindergarten year.
- Please contact the school in your attendance area to register your child in kindergarten. The school will require you to provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of your address. The school will also request you to provide a copy of your child’s or your Catholic baptismal certificate if applicable.
Parents of Catholic students who live inside a school’s attendance area and are already enrolled in kindergarten do not need to re-register their students for Grade 1 in the same school. Parents of all other students may be required to re-register their students for Grade 1. Advancement from kindergarten to Grade 1 in the same school is not guaranteed for these students.
Grades 1 – 12

- Please contact the school in your attendance area to register your student in Grade 1. The school will require you to provide a copy of your student’s birth certificate and proof of your address. Registration for Non-Catholic Students
We are pleased to enroll non-Catholic students in our schools when we have sufficient resources and facilities to do so, but parents of non-Catholic students should understand that we are required to prioritize the enrollment of Catholic students each school year. This means that we cannot guarantee the advancement of non-Catholic students from one grade to the next in the same school or from elementary to junior high and high school.
Designated Boundaries for Schools
The Calgary Catholic School District has designated boundaries for all schools. CCSD uses boundaries strategically to ensure optimal student populations that support viable programming across the district. It is the expectation that students will attend their designated school. Please be aware that school attendance boundaries can and do change to accommodate factors including changing demographic information, the opening or closing of a school, to relieve overcrowding in schools, etc.
