Be it known to all who enter here that
Jesus Christ is the reason for this place.
Christ is the unseen but ever present teacher:
Christ is the model for our staff and the inspiration for our students.

These words have great truth in the education received by all students of Bishop Carroll High School. We are dedicated to the spiritual formation of our students in the Religious Studies program and in all subjects taught in our school. Our Catholic faith is present in our daily teachings. It is embedded in all curricular areas and is modeled by staff who are all witnesses of our faith. Our vocation is to teach the Christian values that we as Catholics should uphold: the Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church that both support and reinforce the Catholic values of our students' parents. God and His Creation provide the context for all learning within our Catholic schools.

The ubiquitous dimension of faith develops a supportive, encouraging community within the school. Each student requires three credits in Religious Education for each year they attend Bishop Carroll. Throughout the three years, students grow deeper in their faith and grow closer to God, both through prayer and experiencing God within the school, and in the acts of others. This is what gives out Catholic Schools such a unique identity.

Each morning, the students of Bishop Carroll gather together as a community in prayer. This is our way of taking a moment out of our day to pray to God in thanksgiving and praise. Bishop Carroll is also blessed to have a weekly mass held within our school chapel. Staff and students also gather in the chapel to celebrate with our lay chaplain throughout our FAITH ALIVE and ALPHA programs.

The vision of the Church and its mission of education at Bishop Carroll High School find expression in the Word of God:

"Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your Spirit lead me on a safe path" (Psalms 143:10)

it is through this vision that we clearly see the meaning of Catholic education at Bishop Carroll. All education is rooted in the teachings of the Church and we find meaning in fulfilling God's plan for all of creation. At Carroll, we believe that our faith is truly the most important aspect of our lives.

Serve one another with the gifts each of you received, thus becoming good managers of the varied graces of God. (1 Peter 4:10)
