Students entering high school at Bishop Carroll will require tools to keep them organized. A day timer, phone or computer that can track seminar and meeting times, as well as help with planning. A pocket dictionary and thesaurus would also help for English Language Arts or Social Studies assessments. For Math and Science graphing calculators are required. To ensure fairness and equity, only calculators that have been approved by Alberta Education may be used when writing mathematics and science diploma exams.

Bishop Carroll’s learning guides were developed with the Texas Instruments calculators in mind: TI-83 Plus, TI-84 Plus, TI-84 Plus Silver, TI-84 Plus Pocket SE, or TI-84 Plus C Silver.
Students are also encouraged to bring their own laptops (BYOD), however students are welcome to work in our computer lab if they do not have a laptop.
