The Physical Education Department offers 3 and 5 credit courses at the 10 20 and 30 level. Each grade level will be asked to take activities in the following 6 domains: Dance, Fitness, Body Mastery, Games, Leadership and Health. These domains are predetermined by the grade level of the course. The cost of the course will vary depending on the off-campus activity planned for each course. The selection of activities will depend on what level the student is taking.

The Active Living staff looks forward to a great semester of interesting activities. The department consists of Mr. W. Buteau, Mr. D. Holowaychuk, Ms. Russell, Mr. Lomas, Ms. Mueller and Mr. Fink.

Activities may take place in the school or off campus. There is a charge for all off campus activities and some activities in the school where a paid instructor is required. Active Living fees are fixed depending on the grade your son/daughter is taking.

All students must use school transportation when traveling off campus. The price of transportation has been indicated on the fee sheet. Any student who drives to an activity will not participate and will be sent back to the school.

Hockey Sports Performance

This is a course approved by Alberta Education. It is intended to provide learning opportunities for the increasing number of active student athletes enrolled in high school that are addtional to the physical and tactical aspect of sports. The sports community recognizes the importance of learning proper foundation for training, health services foundation, musculusketal, nutrition and wellness and Rec project A.
