What is the Work Experience Program?
Work Experience is an individualized program where students learn valuable employability and workplace skills, and develop a strong work ethic, positive work attitudes and demonstrate regular and reliable attendance on the job.
Students working or volunteering can earn high school credits throughout the year. Earn up to 35 work experience credits year-round. 20 credits can be applied towards a diploma or Certificate of Achievement. (1 Credit = 25 hours)

1.Register for work experience credits or the Registered Apprenticeship Program. If you are currently employed or volunteering download the Off Campus Agreement.

2. Complete HCS 3000 (Workplace Safety) : This course is a prerequisite to receive work experience credits. It consists mainly of several open-book quizzes. Once you are registered for work experience see your counselor and you will be registered in the online course in D2L or Text / call Mr. Kennedy 403-990-0115. Click here to Register for workplace safety. Hours will not be entered until HCS 3000 (workplace safety) is completed with a passing grade.
3. Keeping Track of Timesheets 2019-20 Work Experience Printable Time Sheets. Email or Text pictures of time sheets to 403-990-0115 regularly
** Hard copy timesheets can be submitted to the school main office.
The Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)
The RAP program is designed for high school students who want to begin training in a trade of their choice, work towards becoming an indentured apprentice and earn credits toward their high school diploma. Click Exploring Alberta Trades to discover more about a career in trades and how to apply.
