Student Groups & Human Sexuality Topics

Over the year, our school may establish a student group, which engages in discussion and activities related to diversity and justice issues, including support for students belonging to sexual minorities. In particular, within our Religious Education and Family Life Catholic Community of Caring program, students may provide leadership and receive support to continue to build inclusive communities, aligned with our Catholic social teachings. If you wish further information, please contact the principal.

VACATION AND HOMEWORK PLANNING

Parents,

Many families plan holidays and vacations during regularly scheduled school days. We at the school recognize the learning opportunities this provides and become envious!

While we support your time away from school, we ask for the same support for the teachers. Many parents request for homework to be assigned either ahead of the holiday or during. It becomes very dificult to plan lessons, projects and worksheets weeks ahead of time. Teachers adjust their lessons based on student learning.

With this in mind, we ask parents to accept one of the following options when planning a holiday during the school year:

  • Have your child keep a journal of their adventure. Read a novel or two.
  • Check e-board or D2L while you are gone. Print off daily assignments and complete.
  • Complete homework and assignments upon your return.

Teachers will help organize your child with their work once you get back!
