MS. PATRICIA MCKEOWN - Elementary ES II Teacher

Hello! I am very happy and excited to be joining the Holy Child team. I am dedicated and passionate about teaching special education. My goal is for every child in my care to realize that they are a child of God deserving of respect, dignity and a high-quality education tailored to meet their individual needs. I am very appreciative of our teaching team consisting of educational assistants, administration, consultants and most importantly, parents and families.I was born and raised in Montreal and, back in the day, I spoke French very well. Sadly, too many years with limited practice and my French is now quite rusty. I came to teaching later in life and fulfilled my high school ambition of becoming a special education teacher. I joined Calgary Catholic in 2004 and began teaching ES-2 in 2006.

I am a proud single mother of three independent adult sons. I am an avid reader and I enjoy being physically active. I love to cycle and walk in Fish Creek Park and Glenbow Ranch near Cochrane. My favourite place for rest and relaxation is Jasper National Park where I enjoy cycling and hiking in the beautiful scenery and swimming in the cool mountain lakes.
