MRS. KARI CHATTERSON

I am honoured to be a part of the team that will open Holy Child School! Not only am I excited to teach in a beautiful new building, but I am especially looking forward to getting to know the staff, students and parents as we work together to build a caring community. For the last 16 years I have been a junior high teacher at Our Lady of Peace and have had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects. My favorite part of teaching is being able to help students realize their potential and build strength and resilience in those I teach. I live in the community of Chaparral with my husband, my son and our Australian terrier, Bitzer. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with family, travelling and being outdoors, hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. I’m looking forward to meeting my new students and their families in the fall!

MS. MONICA LOVASZ

Hi, my name is Ms. Lovasz and I am very excited to be a part of the Holy Child team as a Junior High teacher! I love teaching and creating a fun and exciting learning environment for students. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary and afterwards my Education Degree from St. Mary’s University. When I am not teaching, I enjoy being outdoors and attempting to visit as many other countries as possible! When I am not traveling I enjoy reading, music, painting, exercise, and spending time with my kitten Louis. I look forward to meeting all the amazing students and their families in this coming school year!

MRS. KATHLEEN RAINSONG

My name is Kat Rainsong. I have four children: two grown and two very much on their way. I love animals and have a small zoo at home: 3 cats, 2 dogs! I love to write stories and plays, to paint acrylic-abstract paintings, do ballet, watch theatre and do horse jumping. I am a highly dynamic, creative, and motivated individual who loves to teach. I have taught in one form or another most of my life. I am really excited to be part of the world of education and take very seriously the responsibility of being a significant part of shaping future generations. I have a strong English and Drama background and I strive to integrate this love of the Arts and of literature throughout the curriculum and into students’ hearts. I believe that through this integration and through Inquiry, I endeavor to encourage students to not only love learning, but to be confident, expressive, dynamic people.

MR. DEVIN WOLANICK

I am very excited to be joining the Holy Child team and to work with our students to create a community where everyone can reach their full potential. I received my degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and I believe that it is important to foster both a healthy body and a healthy mind. My hope is to encourage students to find a balance between physical and mental health by demonstrating how these two aspects contribute to building strong character. I returned to school to complete my degree in Education at the University of Calgary and now have the honor of teaching your children. It is my belief that all students can learn to capitalize on their strengths and recognize areas where they can improve. I look forward to contributing to our community!
