Our main mission with this program is to identify kids who are hungry and find ways to feed them. We provide lunches for approximately 2-10 children per day whose families are experiencing financial difficulties. School staff members help to identify needs however if a parent would like to access this program, they can contact the school to discuss the program.

Students or parents let us know on a daily or weekly basis if they require lunch. Lunches are made fresh each morning by 10:30AM and are available for pick up by the students at lunch time.

Items are donated from

  • Local businesses (Cobbs Bakery, nearby daycare, etc.)
  • Volunteer sign up on Spirit Speaks where we ask for specific items (homemade baking, brown bags, ziplock bags, etc.)
  • Extra Fun Food is frozen and used the following week

How does this help our school? If kids are hungry they cannot learn and behaviour issues rise.
