New Media 10

New Media (formally Comm Tech) focuses on visual composition, graphic design, and printing. New Media 10 is offered as a student-centered course that allows students to acquire skills and knowledge while progressing at their own learning rate. Throughout this course students will utilize industry standard programs such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Students will have the opportunity to create designs and print their designs using multiple printing methods (i.e. Vinyl plotting, sublimation, and heat transfer). (3 credits)

This course is an intermediate and advanced course that focuses on visual communication, graphic design, animation, audio/video production, website design, and interactive presentation. Students taking this course will write their Adobe Certified Associate certification in either Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, or Flash. This certification is internationally recognized and developed by Adobe.
