The Calgary Catholic School District offers kindergarten programming within a faith-based learning environment.

Young children are proven to benefit from programs that provide opportunities for organized activities and purposeful play through which they can explore the world around them. The kindergarten program focuses on seven areas of learning, including early literacy; early numeracy; citizenship and identity; environment and community awareness; personal and social responsibility; physical skills and well-being; and creative expression.

All Calgary Catholic elementary schools offer half-day kindergarten programs and depending on total kindergarten enrollment, we may offer a choice of morning or afternoon classes on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have any questions regarding the program, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 403-500-2064.

A child who turns four years old on or before March 1 is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of that same calendar year. For example, this means to register for kindergarten in September 2018 a child must turn four years old on or before March 1, 2019. The child’s birth certificate must be presented at the time of registration.

For those families interested in French Immersion program, please make an appointment to talk to Ms. Whimster (Principal) in order to provide you an outline of the program for kindergarten – overview of program, questions, etc. Remember, we are the ONLY French Immersion Catholic program in Airdrie. Busing is provided from all parts of Airdrie to OLQP for French Immersion students if they qualify according to Rocky View bus services.
