Welcome to another school year! I am Mrs. Harrison and I am currently one of the Grade One teachers. I am so happy to be here at Our Lady of the Rosary sharing my love of learning and growing in my faith with this amazing community. Principal - Marni Harrigan

What an incredible honour to be the principal of Our Lady of the Rosary School. When we opened this school in the fall of 2016, I took so much time and care to ensure that our school became a welcoming and inviting environment where students want to come and learn. This is my 15th year as school principal and I continue to learn and grow every day. I have taught elementary school and junior high school, worked with diverse learners and taught french throughout my career. I enjoy anything related to health and wellness, golfing, reading, cooking, and travelling. I am looking forward to meeting all of the children and parents and getting to know all of you better throughout the school year. Extraordinary respect lives here!!

Vice Principal - Mark Engelhardt

What a privilege it is to be the vice principal of Our Lady of the Rosary School.This is my second year as vice principal at OLR and my 11th year in the school district.I have had the opportunity to teach students from kindergarten all the way up to high school.Throughout my career I have enjoyed exposing students to the world of science, specifically encouraging them to explore the world with an inquiring mind.I have even been known to wear the odd bowtie or two, and even help students program and build robots.I am looking forward to this school year, an opportunity to learn with our students about faith and the world around us.

Diverse Learning Coordinating Teacher - Jackie Young

I have been teaching with Calgary Catholic since 2004. We are all God’s children and we all have wonderful gifts that He has given us. Sometimes, some of us need help with letting our gifts shine, and that is where I come in as the Diverse Learning Coordinating Teacher (DLCT). I live in McKenzie Towne with my husband and two children. I have been an active member at St. Albert the Great Parish since before the church was built and we were celebrating mass in the gym at Blessed Cardinal Newman! Together, as a community, we have made our new school into an amazing place of teaching, learning, and togetherness. I am so proud to be a part of the continued growth of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Brenda Ward - Kindergarten teacher

I am very excited to be working this year as a kindergarten teacher at Our Lady of the Rosary. For the past two years I taught French Immersion kindergarten at St. Teresa of Calcutta, but I have been with the district for over twenty years and have taught most elementary grades. I especially enjoy teaching kindergarten because every day is a new adventure for both myself and my students; we discover together and learn from each other. I love to witness the children’s enthusiasm and I take pride in helping my students grow in all aspects of their development in a safe and nurturing environment. My husband and I are the proud parents of three teenage boys and one adorable, five-year old cockapoo named Finnley. Outside of school I am a member of St. Albert the Great Parish and I enjoy participating in the Mass as a Lector. My other interests include reading, watching movies, art and sports.

Gianna Tedesco - Kindergarten teacher

I feel very blessed to be teaching Kindergarten

at the Our Lady of the Rosary School! I have been a Catholic elementary teacher for over 20 years and teaching is both my calling and my passion. I am an active member of my parish, St. Albert the Great, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. I enjoy reading, travelling, snowshoeing and photography. I have been married for over 18 years and I am the proud mother of 2 children.

Jenna Carpenter - Division 1 teacher

Hi! My name is Jenna Carpenter and I am so excited to be a part of the team at Our Lady of the Rosary School! I have been teaching for three years and have been blessed to spend all of them at this school. I believe in creating a community of learning where all children can grow and develop in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment. I am dedicated and passionate about helping my students see the wonderful person they are and become the best version of themselves!

When I am not teaching my amazing students, you can find me baking, reading, playing soccer, crafting, and going for walks in the beautiful outdoors.

Allison Medeiros - Division 1 teacher

Hello! My name is Allison Medeiros and I am excited to be teaching grade one this year at OLR. I attended St. Mary's University for my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. I love hands on learning especially through science experiments. I believe in creating a safe and caring classroom for children to have fun learning in. I enjoy cooking, camping, travelling and theater. Outside of school I love spending time with my mom and sister who also teach within the Calgary Catholic School District. I am looking forward to sharing my passion of teaching with the community here at OLR.


Joan Weinman- Division 1 teacher

Hello. My name is Joan Weinman and I am excited to apart of the team at Our Lady of the Rosary. I have been blessed to teach with the Calgary Catholic School District for over 25 years, primarily with grade one and kindergarten students. These little ones teach me something new every day and their enthusiasm always puts a smile on my face. Outside of teaching, my husband and I enjoy disc golf, camping, hiking and biking. Nancy Sanchez - Division 1 teacher

Hi! My name is Nancy Sanchez, and I am really excited to join the staff of Our Lady of the Rosary School. This is my 26th year working for the Calgary Catholic School District. My favourite subjects are math and language arts, and I am passionate about sharing my love of children’s literature with my students. When I’m not at school I keep myself busy with my 3 almost grown up kids, husband, cat and dog! We love travelling and going on adventures to exciting places like Japan and Belize! I’m looking forward to meeting you, learning and working together!

Katelyn Ackerman - Division I teacher

Hello! My name is Katelyn Ackerman, and I have had the privilege of teaching at Our Lady of The Rosary, since its opening in 2016. During my fifteen years with Calgary Catholic, I’ve taught in division one, and engaged students in the arts through various clubs and activities. This year, I am delighted to be teaching grade two, once again, as part of this wonderful staff and vibrant community! I am a loving wife and devoted mother of two elementary school aged girls. Outside of school, I enjoy yoga, music, knitting, and visiting my family in Nova Scotia, each summer. I am looking forward to working with you during another terrific year at OLR!

Andrea Leung- Division 2 teacher

Hi, my name is Andrea Leung and I'm very excited to be apart of the teaching team at Our Lady of the Rosary. I started teaching with the Calgary Catholic School Board in 1996 and my favorite subjects are art, science and math. Some of my interests include biking, hiking, reading and traveling.



Robin Buckley - Division 2 teacher

Hi! My name is Robin Buckley. I am excited to have recently moved back to Calgary and to join a welcoming and supportive team at Our Lady of the Rosary School. I recently completed my Bachelor of Education degree at the University of New Brunswick and this is my first year teaching with the Calgary Catholic School District.

I was raised in Quispamsis, New Brunswick and have a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University. I also completed my Master of Science degree in Geology at Western University. I enjoyed working as a professional geologist for 6 years in downtown Calgary at Husky Energy. I have always loved science and the outdoors and hope to share those passions with the community at Our Lady of the Rosary School.

Outside of school you will find me playing soccer and hockey with my friends as well as hiking, skiing, running, reading and cooking!

Alison Brochu - Division 2 teacher

I feel so blessed to be a part of the OLR family. Originally from Nova Scotia, I now live in SE Calgary with my husband and two young sons. I love all things Disney, coffee, dance, biking, and reading! I have been teaching in Alberta for close to ten years, learning and growing with the students I teach. Education is my passion and I know we are going to have a fantastic year together!


Sarah Landry - Division 2 teacher

I am so thrilled to be a part of the staff and school community for Our Lady of the Rosary. I have been with Calgary Catholic since 2002 as an elementary classroom teacher, primarily in grades 4-6. My areas of specialty are mathematics, integration of technology and Fine Arts into the curriculum to inspire students and enrich their learning. It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge…Albert Einstein. I am a mother of two children.My favorite days are spent with my family, listening to music, cooking and most of all travelling!

Mary-Ellen Rossouw - Division 2 teacher

My name is Mary Ellen Rossouw. I am honoured and excited to be part of the team at Our Lady of the Rosary. For the past 12 years I have been a division 2 teacher, mostly in grade 5 at Father Doucet. I have a passion for teaching math and science and bringing an awareness of nature to my students. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, cycling, hiking, reading, gardening, cooking and yoga. My husband and I love to travel and being with our three children. I look forward to meeting the students and families of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Lynette From- Division 2 teacher

My name is Lynette From and I am looking forward to teaching the third grade this year. I really enjoy teaching Language Arts, science, health, and social studies. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, watching documentaries, and traveling. I am married and have two sons that are in their late teens. My three favourite trips have been to Iceland, Italy, and Peru.


Joel Madriaga - Division 2 teacher

Hello Our Lady of the Rosary!! I cannot wait to join this wonderful community that I’ve heard so much about. My name is Joel Madriaga and I have been teaching at CSSD for 9 years now. I’ve had an amazing experience teaching in Division 1 and I am excited for opportunity to teach in Division 2. I am a huge pop culture/video game nerd as you will soon learn from getting to know me. Outside of teaching, I love spending my time with friends, family and my best bud/golden retriever whose name is Chrono (no, he cannot shoot hoops..Yet).

Sasha Pedulla- Division 2 teacher

Hello, my name is Sasha Pedulla and I am excited to be joining the Our Lady of the Rosary team this year. I have been teaching with Calgary Catholic for 3 years and have experience in grades 4-6. I enjoy learning and exploring new things. I have a great love of reading, which I enjoy sharing with the students I teach. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and cat. I enjoy being outside, reading, puzzling and journaling. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I cannot wait to begin this learning journey with you!

Kim Scharf - ES II teacher

I am excited to join the staff of Our Lady of the Rosary, teaching in the ES II program. For the past 25 years I have taught Kindergarten through Grade 12, serving as a classroom teacher, a Diverse Learning support teacher and a literacy consultant, in Alberta and Saskatchewan. A lifelong learner, throughout my teaching career I have studied in B.C, Ontario, Saskatchewan and France. My two children are in Grades 10 and 11 in Extended French programs in the Calgary Catholic School district. As a family, we enjoy travel, swimming, reading, snowshoeing and spending time with our family in Calgary.


Jamie-Lynn Rawson- Music teacher

God's little reminder that there's something else besides us in this universe, a harmonic connection between all living beings, everywhere, even the stars.” I will do my best to make the musical stars of Our Lady of the Rosary shine brightly! I have been a teacher with CSSD since 2002, with the exception of taking some years off until my own children started school full time. I have taught Kindergarten, grade 2, 3, and 4 but I am so excited to be getting back to music teaching, which is my passion and joy! We are going to “start where we are, with what we have, doing what we love.” Music has so many benefits and I’m blessed and delighted to be able to start the music program at such an amazing school! When I am not teaching in the classroom, I am teaching piano to 55 wonderful students, am a hockey mom and dance mom and enjoy weekends very much with my family. Nicole Scott - Music teacher

My name is Nicole Scott and I am very excited to be joining Our Lady of the Rosary school this year as a music specialist. I feel incredibly blessed that I get to teach a subject that I adore and I believe music is a gift to be shared. I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a band/instrumental specialty. After graduation I moved up to Fort McMurray and accepted an elementary music position for two years and was thrilled to learn that I love teaching music of all ages. Beyond teaching, I enjoy travelling with my husband and walking or biking with my adorable Bernese Mountain Dog named Kato.

I am very excited to be part of Our Lady of the Rosary School. I have been with the Calgary Catholic School District for the past 7 and half years. I worked in the classroom as an Education Assistant for two years before moving to the office as Admin. Secretary. I love travelling with my family, cooking, hiking and reading. I am very excited to be part of Our Lady of the Rosary School. I have been with the Calgary Catholic School District for the past 7 and half years. I worked in the classroom as an Education Assistant for two years before moving to the office as Admin. Secretary. I love travelling with my family, cooking, hiking and reading. Looking forward to serving the community of South Cranston!

I am thrilled to join the team at Our Lady of The Rosary. This will be my first year working as a Learning Commons Librarian, and I hope to create a space where students can gain new knowledge, skills and dispositions for learning and personal development, that they will use throughout their lives. In my free time, I like traveling, reading, and solving mysteries."
