Principal - Marc Pilon
What a blessing & honour it was to be a part of opening a new school in 2016 as we now focus on building a school permeated by our Catholic faith, where relationships thrive and we support student success for all.
I have been an administrator with CCSD for the past 16 years and a proud Spartan! My wife is a teacher and I have 2 boys in CCSD as well. I enjoy watching my boys play sports and staying active myself as well as travel.
My dream for this school continues to be to build collaboratively the safest, most caring & faithful environment where students experience success.
Vice-Principal - Jeff Schneider
Since my appointment to Prince of Peace School I have had the opportunity to work with many residents of Auburn Bay, help assemble a “rock-star” teaching staff, and work closely with Mr. Pilon planning the direction for this beautiful school. I have watched Prince of Peace become truly a special place for our children and their families...and moreover become the heart of the Auburn Bay community.
I have three young children of my own, all active in sports and arts. My wife is a teacher as well and our lifestyle has always been governed by strong moral connections with our family at home and our families at school.
Our plan for this school year remains consistent, alongside our Prince of Peace families, is to facilitate a school where students thrive and are engaged in learning, where all stakeholders are treated equally with respect in a safe environment, and where a created culture of dignity, fairness, value, and mutual respect permeates the goals of the school and of the greater Auburn Bay community.
Assistant-Principal - Inge Babinec
We welcome Mrs. Babinec as our new Assistant-Principal beginning January 2019.
Greetings Spartans! I am very excited and blessed to be joining the extraordinary team that is Prince of Peace School. I am eager to work with the staff, students and parents to create a community that provides a safe school environment, positive school climate, outstanding teaching and learning and excellent communication with parents, so together we can create a wonderful school community.
I am originally from Nova Scotia but have been in Calgary for many years. I have been teaching with Calgary Catholic for 14 years and this is my fourth year as an administrator. I have a brand new little one at home and am looking forward to the many new adventures ahead of me, personally and professionally.
Administrative Secretary - Donna Johnson
I am feeling so blessed to be part of the Prince of Peace Team… Also known as “The A Team”! I have worked for CCSD for the past 17 years – first as an Educational Assistant and then in the front office for the last 11 years. Prior to moving to Calgary I lived 16 years overseas in Athens, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.
I have two beautiful children that live in two of the most beautiful places to visit. On weekends I often head to Canmore to bike and ski with my son & once a year I jet off to London, England to visit & shop with my daughter. : - ) My husband works in oil & gas overseas; usually Turkey or the Middle East.
I enjoy travelling, performing with the Chinook Country Line dancers, and spending time with family and friends.
I continue to look forward to working with all of you as we create a wonderful school community at Prince of Peace School.
Office Assistant - Alison Henley
I am excited to be part of the Prince of Peace team! I am very happy to be working with the wonderful staff in such a beautiful building. I have been working with the district for the past 9 years. I started working in the classroom as an EA and moved into the office 5 years ago.
I have three children, one in university, one in high school, and one in junior high ... giving me lots of experience :) I keep busy with the kids and all of their sports and activities. When I have time I enjoying hiking in the mountains. Coming from Ontario I never get tired of the beautiful rocky mountains.
