Division 2 teachers (Grades 4-6):
Victoria Yuzik : Division 2 teacher
Hello Prince of Peace Families. I am Victoria Yuzik, a primary teacher at our school. I love teaching the little guys as I get to build their foundations for future learning and hopefully instill a love for learning that will last a lifetime. I have been with Calgary Catholic School District since I graduated from The University of Calgary years ago. I love my job and consider it an honour that you entrust your child with me each day. On a personal note, I am married to a wonderful man and have two awesome children. In my spare time I love to read, cook, knit, golf, run, bike and walk my dogs. I look forward to a fabulous year of working together.
Bailey Davies: Division 2 teacher
Hi Prince of Peace families & students. My name is Bailey Davies and I am beyond thrilled to be back with my Spartan family! This school and it's staff are truly the best in the district! I will be teaching Grade 3 this year and I can't wait to meet all of my tiny humans. Teaching brings me such happiness, laughter and love, and I look forward to sharing that with all my students and building long lasting relationships with each one of them. I feel very honoured and blessed to get to be a part of these amazing kid's lives. When I am not teaching I love playing soccer, golfing, fishing, and watching hockey (Go Flames Go!). I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, travelling, camping and being outdoors! Let's make this a wonderful year, full of lots of learning, laughs, fun, and smiles! Go Spartans Go!
Linda Corbo-Schmaltz - Division 2 teacher
Hi, I am Linda
Corbo-Schmaltz. I grew up in Edmonton but moved to Calgary to begin
my teaching career almost 20 years ago, and while I have taught all
grades and many subjects, grade 5 is one of my favourites. I have an amazing husband and 3 wonderful children: 2
daughters ages 12 & 9 and a 7 ½ year old son, 2
puppies, a bunny, 3 birds & a fish. I love sunshine, crafty
stuff, and books.
I am so excited to be joining the Prince of Peace
family as a grade 5 teacher! I feel extremely lucky to do a job
I am passionate about! I look forward to meeting
to an exciting and fun year of learning!
Jennifer Braun: Division 2 teacher
I am very excited to be part of the teaching team at Prince
of Peace! I have been teaching with the district since 2002. During this time I
have taught mostly Grades 3, 5, and 6. As a classroom teacher, I strive to
impart knowledge onto my students, but also provide limitless guidance. In
doing so, I always give my students the motivation and confidence that is
needed for them to believe they can succeed! Aside from teaching, one of my
passions is traveling. Two of my biggest trips have been to China and India. I
have many more destinations on my list that I would like to go explore! I also
enjoy photography, skiing, and spending time with my family and friends.
Nadine Bobbett: Division 2 teacher
I am extremely happy to be a part of the Prince of Peace
team. I am coming to Prince of Prince from St. Damien school where I have
taught grades 4 and 5. I am originally from Nova Scotia and have taught there,
as well as in Ontario. I have two young boys that keep me active in everything
sports related. On my free time I love to read, travel, and play soccer. I’m
passionate about teaching and can’t wait to challenge my students in fun and
engaging ways throughout the year.
Laura Carrier: Division 2 teacher
Helping open Prince of Peace last year was such a joy! I was and continue to be honoured being part of this amazing school and community. I have taught grade three for four years, and looking forward to teaching Grade 6 this year! I also taught preschool for five years while completing my schooling at St. Mary’s University. My favourite thing about teaching is creating lasting relationships with each of my students. I love them all so dearly and can't wait to meet my new group of kiddos! In my spare time I enjoy baking, art, hiking, surfing, spending time with my dog and family and travelling. I am looking forward to another year at POP! Go Spartans Go!
Andrew Woolnough: Division 1 teacher
My name is Andrew Woolnough and I am so happy to be welcomed into the Prince of Peace family for this school year. I truly love working with students at this age as their passion and excitement for school is contagious and allows for deep and meaningful experiences within the classroom. I enjoy keeping the students active within the classroom and promoting hands on learning experiences.
I am a born and raised Calgarian and have been part of the Calgary Catholic school community since kindergarten. When I am not teaching I stay active by playing club rugby and hiking both in the summer and winter months.
