PARISH LENTEN PENITENTIAL SERVICE

St. Albert the Great Church will have a Lenten Penitential Service on Friday, April 5, beginning at 7:00 pm, following the 6:30pm Mass. Several Priests will be available to hear your Confession. Please note there will not be a Healing Service following Mass.

CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS

Are you over 18 years old and have never received the sacrament of Confirmation? Join our Confirmation Preparation for adults at St. Albert the Great Church! Sessions will take place in the St. Francis Room after the 11 am Mass beginning on Sunday, April 7, and will continue on April 14 and 28. The Confirmation Celebration date will be either Friday May 10 or Saturday May 11. LENTEN RETREAT WITH MICHAEL CHIASSON

St. Albert the Great Parish will be hosting a Lenten Retreat, presented by Michael Chiasson, on Sunday April 7 beginning at 7 pm. This is a free event! Please register at access52.com/lent. There will be coffee and treats to follow.

  • Easter Vigil Mass: Saturday, April 20 at 9:00 pm

FRIDAY STATIONS OF THE CROSS DURING LENT

Stations of the Cross will continue taking place at St. Albert the Great Parish at 6:30pm on Fridays in Lent, with the exception of April 5 (First Friday evening Mass) and April 19 (Good Friday).

COMING ALIVE CAMP REGISTRATION – Registration will take place on Saturday, April 6 beginning at 9:30 am until 11:00 am in the St. Albert the Great Church basement. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand, each adult may register one family’s children only. Please bring the Alberta Health Care Cards for each child as well as emergency contact information. Full payment of $40 per child is due at time of registration. Please make cheques payable to St. Albert the Great Parish.

COMING ALIVE CAMP NEEDS ADULT VOLUNTEERS AND YOUTH LEADERS!

Please join us for this great opportunity. Camp runs from July 15 to 19 in the morning at St. Albert the Great Parish. Any interested Youth entering grades 7-12 are welcome to apply by emailing comingalivecamp@gail.com. We are also still in need of Adult volunteers. Please help us to make camp a great success once again!

RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, at St. Albert the Great Church is in need of 11 sponsors. Sponsors are baptized Catholic adults who are practicing their faith and willing to be faith companions. Sponsors are not saints or theologians! Please consider your calling as one of the baptized faithful and walk with a person who is asking to become Catholic. Information and guidance will be provided. YOUTH GROUP PILGRIMAGE & FUNDRAISER

St. Albert the Great Parish’s Youth Group is planning a pilgrimage to Medicine Hat to spend the day with the Holy Family Youth Group and Fr. Iqbal to see the historic St. Patrick’s Church, pray the outdoor Stations of the Cross and do a fun activity. To do this, fundraising is essential to help subsidize the cost of this trip and we have decided on Purdy’s Chocolates. CHILDREN’S LITURGY SUNDAY 5PM MASS NEEDS ADULT VOLUNTEERS

Beginning in April, we will no longer have sufficient volunteers for the Sunday 5pm Children’s Liturgy program at St. Albert the Great Church. We require a minimum of two cleared adults every week. If you are interested and available to volunteer in this valuable ministry, please contact stalbertschildrensliturgy@gmail.com for more information.

BAPTISM PREPARATION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you love your Catholic faith? Do you have a desire to share that love with young couples preparing to have their child baptized? Baptism Preparation typically takes place from 10:00 am until Noon on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at St. Albert the Great Parish.
