Welcome

St. Augustine School is located in the well-established community of Kingsland, which is nestled in between Elbow Drive SW and MacLeod Trail; making it central for parents who work in many areas including downtown Calgary.

We offer a fine-arts inspired program for Kindergarten through Grade 9. Teachers and students work with a variety of Calgary artists throughout the year in the areas of visual, photographic, dramatic, movement and musical arts.

We are fortunate to have a partnership with Mt. Royal University’s Before and After School Care Program (located in the school) which affords our families access to child-care for a reasonable cost.

We offer a half-day Kindergarten program. Our elementary program is Inquiry-based and Reggio- inspired with class sizes suitable for project work and inquiry learning. Our teachers use learning through the arts to enhance the curriculum as outlined by Alberta Education. Reggio Inspired learning is a teaching philosophy that originated in Italy. This pedagogy provides authentic opportunity for experience and inquiry based learning that engages children while setting high academic standards for our diverse learning community. Learning is made visible to the students, school community and parents through documentation panels that showcase project work and learning outcomes.

We are accepting registrations for Kindergarten (half day only) and Grades 1-9. We invite you to contact our school at 403-500-2022 to arrange a school tour.
